LYSSA TIJERINA

Lyssa Tijerina is a program coordinator working on population science research projects at UT Southwestern, evaluating the relationship between financial incentives and health disparities and outcomes.

Lyssa has played pivotal roles in numerous research initiatives through prior work at Baylor Scott and White Health. For instance, her contributions to studies such as the TBI Model System have focused on traumatic brain injury, caregiver support, and mental health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Neuroscience, Clinical Health Psychology, and English from the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as Associate degrees in Kinesiology, Biology, and General Sciences from Northeast Lakeview College. She is advancing her education with a Master of Business Administration concentrating in Healthcare Management, expected to complete in December 2024.
