JESSICA BILLIG

Jessica Billig is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Her research interests include financial toxicity associated with hand and upper extremity care, policy analyses, and insurance design related to trauma care.

Jessica Billig, MD, MSc, is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Clinically, she specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Billig earned her medical degree at New York University. She completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Michigan. During that time, she completed a two-year health policy and health services research fellowship through the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation. She also earned a master’s degree in health and healthcare research from the University of Michigan. She gained advanced clinical training in hand and upper extremity surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis through the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Billig’s research interest include financial toxicity associated with hand and upper extremity care, policy analyses, and insurance design related to trauma care.
